Buffer can’t finish a Facebook group post for you.

Buffer’s own guide says it can’t publish to Facebook groups automatically. It sends a reminder to your phone and you finish the post yourself, checked 31 October 2026.

Group Posting posts to the groups you pick from your own desktop browser, one group at a time. Buffer stays useful for a wider social calendar.

Buffer and Group Posting: practical differences

| While it runs | The group workflow includes a manual mobile step. | Chrome or Edge and the signed-in Facebook session must remain available. |
| Useful for | A shared social calendar and a reminder-based group workflow. | Repeated Facebook group work, saved content, schedules and Pro campaigns. |

## Questions before you choose

### Does Buffer automatically finish a Facebook group post?

Its official group guide describes notification publishing: you prepare the post and complete publication manually from a mobile reminder. This is different from its Facebook Page publishing workflow.

### Can any tool guarantee that a Facebook group post will be published?

No. Facebook can limit an account or reject a submission, and group administrators can require approval. Group Posting uses your logged-in desktop browser; keep the browser open, choose relevant groups and review each result. An approval hold is not a confirmed public post.
