How do I extract the groups I'm a member of?

+

This is the first step to start posting. We have two powerful methods to gather your groups:

Method 1: The Fast API (Recommended)

  1. Navigate to the Group Collections tab in the extension.
  2. Click the "Extract groups" button.
  3. The extension will use Facebook's fast API to fetch your group list. This may take 1-3 minutes. A new group collection will be created with today's date.

Method 2: The Manual Scrape (Fallback)

If the first method fails or times out, use this reliable backup:

  1. Click the extension logo at the top of the popup 5 times to reveal a hidden menu at the bottom.
  2. Click the "Start Manual Scrape" button.
  3. A new tab will open to your groups page and begin scrolling automatically. Do not close this tab. It will close itself when it's finished.

Can I use the extension with multiple Facebook accounts?

+

Yes, absolutely! The best and safest way to manage multiple Facebook accounts is by using Chrome Profiles.

Each Chrome Profile acts like a separate browser with its own cookies, history, and extensions. This keeps your Facebook accounts completely isolated from each other.

  1. In Chrome, click your profile icon in the top-right corner (next to the three dots menu).
  2. Click "Add" at the bottom of the profiles list.
  3. Set up a new Chrome profile. You can name it after your second Facebook account.
  4. In this new profile window, install the GroupPosting Pro extension from the Chrome Web Store.
  5. Activate your license key in the new profile. Your single license key can be used across your profiles.

Now you can switch between Chrome profiles to manage your different Facebook accounts, and each will have its own instance of the extension.

Posting has stopped unexpectedly. What should I do?

+

Posting can stop for several reasons. Here's a step-by-step guide to fix it:

  1. Check Your Facebook Login: The most common reason is that your Facebook session has expired. Please open a new tab, go to Facebook.com, and ensure you are still logged in. If not, log back in.
  2. Look for Facebook Checkpoints: Facebook may sometimes ask you to verify your identity (a "checkpoint"). Check your Facebook notifications for any security alerts or login confirmations.
  3. Use the "Force Reset" Button: If posting seems stuck, open the extension, click the logo 5 times to reveal the hidden menu, and use the "Force Reset" button. This clears the stuck status. Use this only if you're sure posting is not active.
  4. Refresh the Extension & Tab: Close and reopen the extension popup. Also, try refreshing the Facebook tab you are posting from.
  5. Check Your Internet: A weak or interrupted internet connection can stop the process.
  6. Restart Chrome: As a last resort, completely close and reopen your Chrome browser.

My images or videos are not uploading with the post.

+

Media upload issues usually relate to the posting method, file format, or connection speed.

  • Use Speed Mode for Images: For image posts, the "Speed Mode" (Direct API) is the fastest and most reliable method. It's the recommended default.
  • Use Classic Mode for Videos: For video posts (MP4, WebM), you must use the "Classic Mode". The Speed Mode does not support video uploads.
  • Check File Format: Ensure your images are in a common format (JPG, PNG) and videos are MP4 or WebM.
  • Check Internet Speed: Uploading large media files requires a stable internet connection. Try with a smaller file to test.
  • Compress Images: Keep the "Compress Images" option checked in the Post Scheduler. This optimizes images for faster and more reliable uploads.

What's the difference between Quick Post and the Post Scheduler?

+

Both are powerful, but they serve different purposes:

  • Quick Post: This is for immediate, one-off posts. You write your content, select your groups, and post right away using default settings. It's the fastest way to get a single message out.
  • Post Scheduler: This is for planning and automation. Use it to set up campaigns that can run for days or weeks. It gives you full control over multi-posting, intervals, posting order, safety levels, comment settings, and scheduling posts for the future.

Use Quick Post for speed. Use the Post Scheduler for power and automation.

The extension isn't typing my post or clicking buttons.

+

This usually happens when Facebook updates its website code, which can temporarily break the extension's ability to find the correct buttons and text fields.

  1. Switch Posting Method: This is the most effective solution. If you are using "Classic Mode," switch to "Speed Mode" in the Post Scheduler. Speed Mode uses a more stable API and is not affected by visual changes on the page.
  2. Update the Extension: We work quickly to fix these issues. Make sure your extension is updated to the latest version. You can check for updates in Chrome by going to `chrome://extensions` and clicking "Update".
  3. Check for Facebook Popups: Sometimes a hidden Facebook popup (like "Rate your experience") can block the extension. Refresh the page to clear any popups.

Why are my posts paused or taking a long time to send?

+

This is usually an intentional safety feature. Check these settings in the Post Scheduler:

  • Interval Between Posts: You have set the extension to wait for a specific number of minutes after posting to a certain number of groups. This is crucial for account safety. The loading screen will show a countdown during this break.
  • Avoid Night Posting: If you have this option enabled, the extension will automatically pause between 10 PM and 7 AM in your local time to avoid suspicious activity. It will resume automatically in the morning.
  • Posting Security Level: If you have set the security level to "Safe," the extension will add longer, more human-like delays between every action.

The "Add First Comment" feature isn't working.

+

The "Add First Comment" and "Disable Comments" features rely on interacting with the page after a post is made. Therefore, they are only available when using a specific posting method.

To use these features, you must select "Classic Mode" as your Posting Strategy in the Post Scheduler. These options will not work with the "Speed Mode" because it posts directly in the background without opening a visible post window.

My free trial ended. What happens now?

+

Once you have used your free trial posts, the ability to start a new post will be disabled. You will not lose any of your saved data. All your Post Templates and Group Collections will remain safe and accessible.

To continue posting, you can either:

  • Upgrade Now: Click the "Upgrade Now" or "Claim Discount" button to purchase a license and unlock unlimited posting.
  • Activate License: If you have already purchased a license, click "I already have a license" to enter your key and activate the pro version.

Can I use my license on more than one computer or Chrome profile?

+

Yes! Your license is tied to you, not a specific computer. You can use your single license key on multiple devices (e.g., your desktop and laptop) and across multiple Chrome Profiles on the same computer.

Simply install the extension on the new device or in the new Chrome Profile and enter your license key when prompted. See our "Getting Started" guide on how to use multiple Facebook accounts with Chrome Profiles.

Why are the AI "Enhance" or "Generate" buttons disabled?

+

The AI buttons may be disabled for a couple of reasons:

  • The "Enhance Post" button requires you to have some text already written in the content box. It needs content to improve! Once you start typing, the button will become active.
  • Both AI buttons require a valid license or an active free trial. If your trial has expired, you will need to upgrade to a pro plan to use the AI features.

The "Auto Join Groups" feature isn't working or finding groups.

+

If you're having trouble with the Auto Join feature, consider these points:

  1. Be Specific with Keywords: Use very specific keywords. "Marketing for small business owners in New York" will yield better results than just "marketing".
  2. Check Your Filters: If your "minimum members" filter is too high (e.g., 500,000), it might not find any groups. Try lowering the number.
  3. Facebook Language: This feature works best when your Facebook interface is set to English.
  4. Let it Run: The process opens a new tab and scrolls through search results. It needs time to find and join groups. Please do not close the tab manually.

I accidentally deleted something. Can I recover it?

+

Unfortunately, when you delete a Post Template or a Group Collection, the action is permanent and cannot be undone. We do not have a trash or recovery system for these items.

We highly recommend regularly exporting your group collections as a backup:

  1. Go to the Group Collections tab.
  2. Click the export button (icon with an upload arrow).
  3. Save the .json file to a safe place on your computer.

This will allow you to restore your collections if you ever delete them by mistake.

A Facebook popup (like "Rate your experience") is blocking the extension.

+

Facebook sometimes shows its own popups or notifications that can cover the screen and prevent our extension from working correctly, especially in "Classic Mode".

The simplest solution is usually to refresh the Facebook page. This will typically clear any temporary popups and allow the extension to proceed normally. If the issue persists, try logging out and logging back into Facebook.

What's the difference between "Speed Mode" and "Classic Mode"?

+

These are two different strategies for publishing your posts. Here’s the breakdown:

  • Speed Mode (Recommended): This method uses Facebook's own developer API to post. It's extremely fast, reliable, and posts directly in the background without opening new windows. It is the best and safest option for text and image posts.
  • Classic Mode: This method automates the process in a visible popup window, simulating how a real person posts. It's slightly slower but is necessary for posting videos and offers maximum compatibility if Speed Mode fails for any reason.

In short: Use Speed Mode for everything, unless you are posting videos or experiencing issues, in which case switch to Classic Mode.

How do I import or export my group collections?

+

You can easily back up your group collections or transfer them between Chrome profiles.

  1. Go to the Group Collections tab in the extension.
  2. To Export: Click the button with the upload icon (). This will save a .json file to your computer containing all your collections.
  3. To Import: Click the button with the download icon (). Select the .json file you previously exported. The collections from the file will be added to your existing list.

How do AI Post Variations work?

+

This powerful feature uses AI to automatically rewrite your post, creating unique versions to avoid posting the exact same text repeatedly. This can improve your post's reach.

  1. In the Post Scheduler, select exactly ONE post template. The "AI Post Variations" option will appear.
  2. Toggle the switch to enable it and choose how many variations you want to create (e.g., 2).
  3. When you start posting, the extension will generate the AI variations. If you chose 2 variations, you will have 3 total posts to cycle through (your original + 2 from AI).
  4. The posting order will automatically be set to "Alternate" to cycle through the original post and its AI variations (A, B, C, A, B, C...).

My license key is not working. What should I do?

+

If your license key isn't validating, please check the following:

  1. Copy and Paste: Make sure you are copying and pasting the entire key. Avoid typing it manually to prevent errors.
  2. Check for Extra Spaces: Ensure there are no extra spaces before or after the key when you paste it.
  3. Check Your Email: Double-check the purchase confirmation email you received to ensure you are using the correct key. Search for emails from "LemonSqueezy" or "GroupPosting Pro".

If it still doesn't work, please contact us using the button below and include your license key and the email address you used for purchase.

What do the 'Fast', 'Balanced', and 'Safe' security levels mean?

+

This slider in the Post Scheduler lets you control the trade-off between posting speed and account safety. It adjusts the delays between actions to appear more human.

  • Fast: Uses the shortest delays. This is best for established Facebook accounts with a good history and high trust factor.
  • Balanced (Recommended): This is the default setting and provides a good mix of speed and safety. It uses moderate, randomized delays.
  • Safe: Uses the longest and most variable delays. It mimics human behavior most closely and is the safest option. We strongly recommend this setting for new Facebook accounts or for maximum caution.

What is a safe interval between posts? How many posts per day?

+

While there is no official limit from Facebook, we strongly recommend a cautious approach to maintain account health.

Recommended Intervals:

  • Set the "Wait time" in the Post Scheduler to at least 5-10 minutes.
  • The extension adds randomization (70-150% of your setting), so a 5-minute setting will result in waits between 3.5 and 7.5 minutes, which is excellent for safety.

Recommended Daily Limits:

  • For newer accounts: Start with 20-30 posts per day.
  • For established accounts: You can safely post to 50-80 groups per day. We do not recommend exceeding 100 posts in a 24-hour period.

It's always better to use longer intervals and spread your posting throughout the day rather than posting a large number in a short time.

How do I make sure the extension is up to date?

+

Chrome is designed to update your extensions automatically in the background. However, it can sometimes take a few days for an update to roll out to all users.

Here are the best ways to ensure you have the latest version:

  • Restart Chrome: The simplest method. Completely closing and reopening your Chrome browser will often trigger pending extension updates.
  • Manual Update: To force an update immediately, follow these steps:
    1. Copy and paste chrome://extensions into your address bar and press Enter.
    2. In the top-right corner, turn on the "Developer mode" switch.
    3. A new row of buttons will appear at the top. Click the "Update" button.

Keeping the extension updated ensures you have the latest features and bug fixes, especially when Facebook changes its website design.

The extension icon disappeared from my toolbar. Where did it go?

+

Don't worry, the extension is still installed! Chrome sometimes hides extension icons to keep your toolbar clean. Here is how to bring it back and "pin" it to your toolbar for easy access:

  1. Click the puzzle piece icon (🧩) in the top-right corner of your Chrome toolbar. This opens your list of extensions.
  2. Find "GroupPosting Pro" in the list.
  3. To the right of its name, click the Pin icon (📌).

The GroupPosting Pro icon will now be permanently visible on your toolbar for quick access.

Is my Facebook data and personal information safe?

+

Yes, your privacy and security are our highest priority. We have designed the extension to be as safe and non-intrusive as possible.

  • Local Storage: All of your data—including your post templates, group collections, and license key—is stored locally on your own computer using Chrome's secure storage. We do not have access to it, and it never leaves your machine.
  • No Password Access: The extension never asks for, sees, or stores your Facebook password. It works by using your browser's existing, active login session with Facebook.
  • Secure Payments: All payments and license key management are handled by our trusted third-party payment processor, LemonSqueezy. We do not process or store any of your financial information.

I've tried everything and it's still not working. What are the final steps?

+

If you've gone through the troubleshooting steps on this page and are still facing issues, here are the final steps that can resolve deeper problems.

Step 1: Restart Chrome

Completely quit and reopen your Google Chrome browser. Don't just close the window—make sure the application fully closes. This can clear up many temporary glitches.

Step 2: Reinstall the Extension (Last Resort)

Reinstalling the extension gives you a fresh start and can fix issues caused by corrupted data. WARNING: This will delete all your saved Post Templates and Group Collections. Please export your Group Collections first!

  1. Go to the Group Collections tab and click the Export button to save a backup file of your groups.
  2. Right-click the GroupPosting Pro icon in your toolbar and select "Remove from Chrome...".
  3. Go to the Chrome Web Store and add the extension again.
  4. Activate your license key.
  5. Go to the Group Collections tab and use the Import button to restore your saved groups from the file you exported.

If the issue still persists after a fresh reinstall, please contact our support team.
