Your agency uses Group Posting: how to connect

For clients: connect your Chrome to your agency, see what they can and cannot do or see, and pause or disconnect whenever you like.

What do I need before I start?

  • Chrome on a desktop or laptop computer. Group Posting has no phone version.
  • The link or code your agency sent you.
  • Your own Facebook login, as the profile or Page your agency posts for. Your agency never gets your password.

You do not need to pay. Group Posting is free to install, and while you are connected your agency’s plan covers Pro features in this browser, except cloud backup.

How do I connect?

  1. Open your agency’s link in Chrome. The page shows your connect code and what happens next.
  2. If Group Posting is not installed yet, add it to Chrome. Then reload the connect page. It says “Installed it just now? Reload this page to finish connecting.”
  3. Sign in to Facebook in this same Chrome, as the profile or Page your agency posts for. If they post as a Page, switch to that Page once in the extension so your browser knows it.
  4. Open Group Posting from Chrome’s toolbar. It opens a sheet with your code filled in, then shows what your agency will be able to do.
  5. Read the sheet, tick the box and press Connect.

Opened the extension later than 15 minutes after the connect page? Reload the page and try again. No link? Your agency can also give you the code on its own. Open Group Posting → Settings, scroll down to Agency, press Connect to your agency, enter the code and press Continue.

A code works for 72 hours and can be used once. It stops working after 5 wrong tries. If it says the code is not valid, ask your agency for a new one.

What will my agency be able to do and see?

Your agency can:

  • schedule posts to your Facebook groups, as your profile or a Page you manage, and start one of those posts right away;
  • add its own post templates and group collections for those posts. A collection can only hold groups that are already in your extension;
  • set the pace and safety limits for the posts it schedules. It can make posting slower than your own settings, never faster;
  • ask the extension to refresh your list of groups;
  • set up Lead Radar for you: which groups it watches, its words, how often it scans, and whether it replies to matching posts automatically, up to a daily limit. While it manages Lead Radar, that setup replaces your own Lead Radar settings on this browser. Yours come back when you disconnect.

Your agency can see:

  • the Facebook groups in your extension: names, links, approximate member counts, which profile or Page they belong to, and the names of your collections;
  • the names, Facebook ID numbers and pictures of your profile and Pages in the extension;
  • the results of the posts it scheduled: which group, whether the post published, was held for review or failed, why, and a link to each published post;
  • the extension’s general health: its version and Chrome’s, your time zone, whether Facebook is signed in, which profile or Page is active, whether posting is running, paused or blocked, which licence covers Pro features, and when this browser was last online.

When your agency asks our assistant to rank your groups, the names and approximate sizes of those groups are sent to our AI provider to produce the ranking. This reporting is separate from the “Allow Anonymous Usage Data” setting: it continues even if that setting is off, and it stops when you disconnect. Results are kept for up to 400 days, and your group list for up to 90 days after you disconnect. When you disconnect, you can have them deleted straight away.

Never shared: your Facebook password, cookies or login session; your private messages; the posts, templates and schedules you create yourself, their results, and when you post; your Lead Radar inbox and the people in it; your licence key, other websites, other tabs, or anything else on this computer.

The sheet shows the exact wording before you agree, and the privacy policy describes the data in detail.

What must stay running?

Posts go out from your browser, so Chrome must be open and signed in to Facebook at posting times. Posts go out one group at a time, with pauses between them. If your computer is off or asleep and Chrome is not back within a short grace window, the post is reported as missed, never as published.

If you connect more than one computer, agency posts go out from only one of them. If this browser cannot reach our service to confirm the connection, your agency’s posts wait until it can.

How do I pause or disconnect?

  1. Open Group Posting → Settings, scroll down to the Agency block (“Managed by …”) and press Open.
  2. Press Pause their posting to stop their posts for now. The same button reads Resume their posting when you are ready.
  3. Or press Disconnect from and your agency’s name. You can first save a backup file, keep copies of their templates, and choose to delete now what they received from this browser (your group list, the results of their posts here and this browser’s health record). Otherwise it is deleted after 90 days.
  4. Press Disconnect.

Disconnecting removes their automations, templates, collections and images from this browser. Everything you made yourself stays. Pro features covered by their plan stop on this browser.

Who do I ask about my posts?

Ask your agency about your posts: what is scheduled, when it goes out and what it says. They decide what is posted for you and are responsible for it.

Ask [email protected] about the Group Posting extension itself. You can also ask your agency or us for a copy of your data, to correct it or to delete it.
