How Group Posting depends on our servers

Group Posting runs inside your own Chrome, so most of it keeps working even if our servers have a problem. Here is what needs us, what doesn't, and what to do if something looks wrong.

What runs where

Posting, schedules and campaigns

The engine runs in your Chrome and posts through your own Facebook session. It keeps working when our servers are unreachable, as long as Chrome is open, the computer is awake and you're signed in to Facebook.

In your browser

Lead Radar checks (Pro)

Checks run in your Chrome, reading the groups you picked every 15, 30 or 60 minutes while Chrome is open. AI reply drafts go through our servers, like the rest of the AI.

In your browser

Fixes when Facebook changes something

Updated settings can reach the extension from our server without a new version. If our server can't be reached, the extension keeps the settings it already has.

Uses our servers

AI writing

Drafts, rewrites, variations and Lead Radar reply drafts send the text they need through our server to our AI provider. If that path is down, the AI shows an error and you can try again later. Posting text you wrote yourself doesn't need the AI.

Uses our servers

Licence & checkout

Activating a key and the regular licence check talk to our licence server; payments run through LemonSqueezy. If the check can't reach us, a paid licence keeps working for up to 30 days after its last successful check.

Uses our servers

Pro cloud backup (automatic)

Pro uploads a daily copy of your groups, templates, campaigns and schedules so you can restore them. If an upload can't happen, your data stays in your browser and the next daily backup tries again. The Backup All Data file works on every plan without us.

Uses our servers

Website & downloads

groupposting.com is served through Cloudflare. The extension itself installs and updates from the Chrome Web Store, which Google runs.

Hosted services

Local-first means fewer things can break

Because the engine runs inside your own browser, your posting and campaigns keep working during a website or backend hiccup. Only the extras depend on our services: AI writing, licence checks, fixes for Facebook changes and Pro cloud backup (automatic).

Something not working?

Email [email protected] and tell us what you were doing. In the extension's Safety Center, click Copy diagnostic and paste the result into the email, with the Support ID from the About screen — it lets us find the cause much faster. A human replies within one business day.
For the most common fixes — failed posts, Facebook blocks, activation keys — see the help centre.
