Post to up to 9 groups at once
Turn on Facebook's Add groups option, learn which posts qualify, and check results without sending duplicates.
What does this option do?
Post to up to 9 groups at once uses Facebook's own Add groups option to submit the same post to up to nine eligible groups together.
It works with a Personal profile, using text or one supported image. Page posts and posts that cannot use Add groups go one group at a time.
For this option, use plain text without links or a coloured background. Anonymous posts, reshares and posts with a first comment also use the individual-group route. Larger eligible selections are split into batches of up to nine.
How do I turn it on?
- Open Compose. Check the Posting as row and choose your personal profile if needed.
- Prepare your post and select its groups.
- Scroll to the posting settings summary and choose Change.
- Turn on Post to up to 9 groups at once.
- Review the selected identity, post and groups, then start and confirm the run.
The option changes how eligible posts are submitted. Turning it on does not start a run.
Why do some extra groups show Uncertain?
Facebook can confirm the first group's post before the copies in the other groups appear. When the first post is confirmed, GPP schedules a few read-only checks for the extra groups, roughly 30, 75 and 150 seconds after submission—about two to three minutes in all.
Those checks wait for an idle posting engine and can be skipped while a run is active. The timing is not a promise that every post will be confirmed.
Uncertain means the result is still unconfirmed; the post may already exist. Wait until the run finishes, then choose Check the group. If it is still unconfirmed, open the group and look before posting again. Never resend an uncertain post without checking.
